The 2008 Silverado 2500 Duramax diesel truck has the 6.6L Turbo engine available. The V8 Turbo engine offers
365 horsepower at 3200 RPM with 660 pound per feet of torque at 1600 RPM. The engine starts very well in colder
temperatures because of the Glow plugs, which convert electricity into heat when starting. The advanced pilot
injection and electronics from the direct injection system helps to reduce combustion noise and reduces emissions.
The engine also has an air-to-air intercooler and computer controlled vanes, which is because of the variable geometry
smart turbocharger that is located between the cylinder heads. The cast aluminum cylinder heads have a four-valve design
that helps maximize power and reduces emissions.

2008 Chevy Duramax Truck HD 2500
The 2008 Chevy Truck HD 2500 will give the driver up to twenty percent better gas mileage. The suggested price for the truck
is $24,935 verse other full size trucks that are $25,013. It will have a zero to sixty acceleration of 5.6 seconds over other
full size trucks that have 7.08 seconds. The 6.0L V-8 353 HP engine will work together with the 6-speed automatic transmission
to give ultimate performance. Weighting in at 5,308 pounds of curb weight, the 2500 offers a heavy-duty ride. The short and long
arm front suspension offers a smooth ride as does the rear leaf suspension.
The front springs are a torsion bar while the shocks are gas pressured. The rear leaf springs are gas pressure as well. The
truck comes with four wheel disc brakes and sixteen inch painted steel wheels. The vinyl seat trim will be easy to clean and the
front driver seat direction controls will make it easier to drive and maneuver around. There is a rear view mirror for day/night
